Kumamoto's very popular pork chop rice. I took a number when I entered the door. The waiting time was not bad. I ordered the most expensive set of pork chop rice. The food was a little slow, but it was worth waiting. The pork chop was particularly crispy and the meat was very tender. The snow vegetable side dishes were very delicious. It is worth checking in. I ordered a local ice sake, which was very refreshing and neat, and it was very greasy with the pork chop.

The horse meat sashimi is delicious, and the meat is of high quality. The privacy of the environment is a bit poor: during this extraordinary period, there was a table of Taiwanese people sitting next to us. When my husband and I spoke Mandarin or discussed the epidemic, they stared at us, which was very rude. Everything else was fine. We were also interviewed by a food program at Fukuoka Airport. When we talked about eating horse meat dishes, the host was very surprised and looked at the photos we took. In the end, he asked, "It's expensive, isn't it? But it's delicious."

Kumamoto Castle, which was severely damaged in last year's earthquake, is opposite the hotel, but it is out of reach. Workers numbered and restored the ancient wall tiles one by one, and it is expected to be completed in 2019. Kumamoto is a medium-sized city, bustling but not noisy and very comfortable. When you are tired from walking, go to Swiss for dessert and meet the lovely maids. The Kumamoto signature Taiheiyan at Hong Lanting is just a bowl of delicate cabbage and vermicelli soup, so don’t try it.
